Poetry for Peace – August 6, 2013

Pandemonium Press is Sponsoring a reading at Casa Latina on August 6th to support peace on the 68th anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima – Nagasaki.

My poetry has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and a California Book Award. My most recent essay was published in the Smith Alumnae Quarterly. My poems have been published in Wordpeace, riverbabble, Milvia Street, The Squaw Review, The New Poets of the American West, Temba Tupu! Walking Naked: Africana Womens' Poetic Self-Portrait, Skin Deep: Women Writing About Color, Culture and Identity, and elsewhere. I've been an Artist in Residence with the California Arts Council and have been awarded residencies at Vermont Studio Center, Hedgebrook, Virgnia Center for the Creative Arts, and the Writers on Site Program of Poets & Writers, Inc. sponsored by the James Irvine Foundation.
